Women experience money malfunctions for a variety of reasons. No matter what the reason it can delay or derail living a financially healthy life. According to Women Investing in Security and Education:
- More women file for bankruptcy than graduate from college.
- Only 35% of women have some sort of retirement account.
- The median debt for women has doubled in recent years.
- 40% of the average woman’s income goes to service mortgage debt.

TODAY’S MILITARY has an ad that states, “It’s important to
have more information before you say ‘no.’ It’s even more important
to have that information before you say ‘yes.’” Their website
provides information about tuition assistance, the GI Bill, college funds, loan
repayment programs, as well as training and career preparation. Still, details
about these options are limited, and there is a gap between what the government
provides for servicemen and women and what these people actually need upon separation
from the military. South Sound’s Linda Jadwin seems to have filled that
gap. |
